Al Jazeera television company is preparing to air Tuesday a documentary film devoted to the Armenian Genocide.

In an interview with Radikal daily of Turkey, the documentary’s creator Ramazan Mut noted that such project was the first of its kind because, prior to it, such Turkish films had the objective of presenting the Turkish viewpoint, whereas this documentary presents the views of both sides.

The 48-minute film also includes an interview conducted years ago with Hrant Dink, the founder and former chief editor of Istanbul’s Agos Armenian bilingual weekly, who was gunned down in 2007 in front of his office building.

It is noted that ten days after being aired by Al Jazeera’s Arabic Service, the will be also be broadcast by the television company’s English Service.
