Armenia’s Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan on Monday paid a working visit to the Lori Region in order to study the area of the high-class hospital complex to be built in the Region. Afterward, Sargsyan toured the current building of Vanadzor City Medical Center.

Health Ministry official Gurgen Dumanyan told news reporters that talks are underway with the World Bank, concerning the construction of a new hospital.

“It will become clear in approximately two months. We already have the money for a complete renovation, and the construction activities will commence immediately, once the decision is reached,” he said.

And as per the PM, if the World Bank agrees to fund the project, close to US$ 8-10 million will be needed; this will include the construction plus the acquisition of new equipment.
