December 21, 2009 the number of swine flu cases in Armenia reached 104, Assistant to RA Health Minister Shushan Hunanyan informed NEWS.am.

According to her, the number of calls to emergency significantly decreased within last days. The respiratory diseases among school-aged children also reduced, which is conditioned by close down of educational institutions in the country.

The preventive measures against A/H1N1 virus in the republic are underway. To date, no patients with serious disease course, as well as flu deaths were registered, Hunanyan noted. Armenia will receive A/H1N1 vaccine in the end of January, 2010.

As NEWS.am reported previously, two swine flu deaths were registered in Armenia, December 14, 2009. A pregnant woman and a 28-year-old man died of A/H1N1 virus.
