YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Emergency Situations Ministry received a call, on Sunday at 11:57am, informing that a traffic accident occurred on the Ashtarak-Aparan Highway and there were injured.

A rescue squad was dispatched to the scene, the Ministry press service informs.

It was found out that a VAZ 2106 and a Škoda had crashed for yet unknown reasons. 

The rescuers removed the dead body of Anushavan Hakobyan, 79, from the VAZ 2106.

Also, VAZ 2106’s driver Gnel Hakobyan, 50, and passenger Seda Hakobyan, 75, as well as Škoda’s driver Artak Gevorgyan, 38, and passenger Arman Gevorgyan, 6, sustained injuries and were hospitalized.    

Doctors say Gnel Hakobyan is in satisfactory condition, Seda Hakobyan is in critical condition, Arman Gevorgyan is in average critical condition, and Artak Gevorgyan—who, having receiving first aid—is discharged from hospital.
