December 25, 2009 a 13-year-old girl died of swine flu in Georgia. Mariam Iobashvili underwent outpatient treatment and was urgently hospitalized to Iashvili Children's Central Hospital in Tbilisi.
According to GHN agency, the child died on the third after admission.
According to the clinic director Iva Kachiuri, the girl suffered from grave form of anemia and chronic hepatitis C, that illed her health. The state of two other patients in the clinic is esteemed as grave, however they condition is stable.
As of today, 966 swine flu cases were registered in Georgia.
