Armenia is among the participants in the 31st edition of Iran’s International Short Film Festival, which kicked off with an opening ceremony that was held Tuesday in the capital city of Tehran; the event will run until October 20.   

Over 1,200 screen productions from 74 countries were submitted to the festival, informed Press TV of Iran.

The entries are from Italy, France, Greece, Belgium, Romania, Germany, Portugal, Austria, Denmark, Taiwan, Bahrain, Turkey, Armenia, Brazil, Mexico, and Egypt.

France owns the highest record in the number of submitted films, with 245 productions.

Some ten productions created by the US and Canadian directors entered the screening lineup of the international section of the event.
