YEREVAN. – The Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) is bringing changes in power by introducing constitutional reforms, head of RPA faction Vahram Baghdasaryan said.

According to him, the ruling party itself has proposed a change of power, becoming the initiator of the transition from a presidential to a parliamentary form of government.

“We propose constitutional reforms, changing the form of government. If the “parliamentary trio” means changing personalities while talking about a change of government, it is another thing. It is about the wording,” he said during a briefing on Friday.

The head of the RPA faction also noted that a few months ago, Armenia was on the verge of war, but the external threat has been eliminated, and now the ruling party offers domestic reform.

The politician also said that all leaders of three parties used to be a part of ruling power, and they were satisfied with everything that was going on.
