YEREVAN. – “Armenia at the Foot of Mount Ararat” international media conference dedicated to the Armenian Genocide centennial will be held in Yerevan on March 18-20.

Vigen Sargsyan, Chief of Staff of the President, Coordinator of the Events Dedicated to the Armenian Genocide Centennial, presented the timetable of the event dedicated to the Armenian Genocide centennial.

“We are working with regional commissions to ensure presence of reporters from prominent media outlets from different countries,” he said, adding that the Armenian side will have a good opportunity to train reporters on covering the events and to ensure international response.

Sargsyan announced  “Against Genocide Crime” social-political forum that will be held in Yerevan on April 22-23.

A traditional torchlight procession will be held on April 23, and on the same day the Armenian Apostolic Church will hold a ceremony of canonization of the Armenian Genocide victims.

On the same day System of a Down will give a concert in Liberty Square as a part of “Wake The Souls” tour. Prior to Yerevan concer,t System of a Down will perform in London, Cologne, Amsterdam, Lyon, Moscow and other cities.

On April 24 the foreign delegations will visit Genocide memorial to honor memory of victims. A symphonic orchestra consisting of musicians from countries recognizing Armenian Genocide will perform in the evening.

The concert will start at 20:15 symbolizing 2015.
