STEPANAKERT. – The adversary violated the ceasefire on the Line of Contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces around 1,000 times, from March 1 to 7.

During this time, more than 21,000 shots were fired in the direction of Armenian military positions, and by way of rifle weaponry, mine throwers and grenade launchers, the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Defense Army reported.

Aside from the aforesaid ceasefire violations, the adversary also made use of the ZK-23-2 weapon, the NKR MOD press service informed. But the Defense Army vanguard forces took appropriate action to neutralize this weapon. As a result, at least three Azerbaijani soldiers and the aforementioned weapon were rendered ineffective.

At the same time, the NKR armed forces’ subdivisions took preventive actions in the northeastern sector of the Line of Contact. Consequently, four military servicemen from an Azerbaijani special subdivision were killed.

The Armenian side, however, has suffered no casualties during these operations.
