YEREVAN. – Armenia will receive a total of €8.07 million from European organizations, and to assist the communal waste management companies of the country.
The respective project agreement was approved at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting.
A total of €3.5 million from the aforesaid amount will comprise the loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
In addition, the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument (ENPI) will provide a €3.5-million grant.
Furthermore, another €1.07 million are envisioned as technical assistance.
The project includes supplying technical equipment to the waste management services in the Kotayk Province, and in the City of Sevan.
