YEREVAN. – The Ministry of Defense (MOD) of Armenia has started collaboration with high-tech information enterprises.

In this context, the MOD and the Yerevan Computer Research and Development Institute (YCRDI) have launched a project toward establishing the Center for High-Tech Cybersecurity.

This center will develop and apply high-tech solutions in the defense system of Armenia.

The center will start its activities in the fourth quarter of the current year.

Within the framework of the center, the MOD on Monday set up a qualifications committee. The special professional committee comprises MOD representatives, and highly qualified specialists from IT companies.

Representatives of the companies employing youth that are subject to conscription also are participating in the activities of this committee.
