New Customs Code will come into force in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) by 2017, Vladmir Maltsev, Director of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Industrial Policy Department, told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

In addition to the customs tariff rates in force, the new Customs Code will cover the issues of non-tariff regulation. Besides, the procedure of the application of the customs duty reliefs in free economic zones (FEZ) will be considered.

For this very reason it was decided not to change the aforementioned regulations at once. They will be included in the new version of the Customs Code, the preparatory work on which is underway.

“Tax concessions in all FEZs will be retained, and for everyone. This is the authority of national bodies. As to duty reliefs, we will discuss them. And of course we’ll try to consider the circumstances which our states have provided to their investors, who entered the free zones,” Maltsev said.
