The meeting between Turkish President Abdullah Gul and his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev followed the official reception ceremony held on August 16 in Baku, Azertag reported.

“The Presidents praised friendly and fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey in all fields,” the source reported. Speaking of the importance of mutual visits, the presidents noted that Turkish leader’s visit to Azerbaijan will further the development of bilateral relations.

Abdullah Gul and Ilham Aliyev also discussed bilateral relations, as well as regional and international issues, reads the press release.

The Turkish President has arrived on a two-day official visit to Azerbaijan.
