STEPANAKERT. – The adversary violated the ceasefire along the Line of Contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces around 1,000 times, from August 30 to September 5.

During this time, Azerbaijan fired more than 14,000 shots in the direction of Armenian military positions, and by way of rifle weaponry, mortars and grenade launchers, reported the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Defense Army. The adversary also used—against the Armenian military positions—a Turkish-made reactive rocket propelled howitzer.

Vanguard units of the NKR Defense Army, however, adequately responded to Azerbaijan’s aggression, and took necessary steps to unfailingly maintain their military positions along the entire Line of Contact, informed the press service of the NKR Ministry of Defense.
