YEREVAN. – Armenia stands ready to enhance cooperation with the United Nations (UN) in implementing judicial and legislative reforms.

Minister of Justice Arpine Hovhannisyan noted the aforementioned at her talk Monday with Bradley Busetto, the UN Resident Coordinator/UN Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative in Armenia.

Hovhannisyan also highly praised the present-day level of cooperation between the Ministry of Justice and the UN Office in Armenia, and conferred on the avenues for making this collaboration grow deeper in several directions, the ministry informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Busetto, for his part, expressed satisfaction with the ongoing activities toward a human rights reform, and discussed with the Armenian minister the methods for introducing effective mechanisms to fight against torture and corruption.
