Militants from the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) have launched an attack on a military convoy in the primarily Kurdish-populated Hakkari Province of Turkey.
Clashes began after the attack on early Tuesday morning, reported Birgün daily of Turkey.
As a result, a noncommissioned officer was killed and a policeman was wounded.
The PKK leaders had warned Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan that the attacks against them will not go unanswered.
