YEREVAN. – HSBC Bank Armenia CJSC has introduced the foreign exchange hedge (FOREX hedge) service. 

To this end, the bank invited Artem Biryukov, HSBC economist for Russia and CIS and global research representative, who spoke about the challenges and opportunities in the Russian market.

And Marine Nikoghosyan, Head of Sales and Global Markets at HSBC Bank Armenia CJSC, presented the foreign exchange (FX) forward service of the bank.

The FX forward service by HSBC is a financial solution whereby the organizations can hedge their foreign currency risks.

FOREX hedge is a strategy aimed at reducing the risks of unfavorable foreign currency fluctuations.

The objective of FOREX risk hedge is to reduce the uncertainty in the exchange rate of a future transaction. 

The FX forward service is a contract without a registration fee, and it protects the organizations from the unfavorable change in the exchange rate of the currency pair, in the period between the conclusion and redemption of a contract.
