France has to declare April 24 a national remembrance day, French MP Marie-Arlette Carlotti said in a letter to President Francois Hollande.
France has to mark April 24 as a part of collective memory, this day has to concern all French citizens, he said in a letter published by Nouvelles d’Armenie.
The memory of the victims and our commitment to the acknowledgment of the historic events oblige all the French to give a common answer, the MP said, asking to declare April 24 a national day of remembrance of the Armenian Genocide .
