Walt Disney Studios films earned $ 5.02 billion in the International box office in 2016. Such an indicator has been reached in record time, Deadline reported.

Disney’s top 2016 global releases hail from its different stables with Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War leading the charge at $1.15B. He’s followed by Disney Animation’s Zootopia at $1.02B; Disney’s The Jungle Book at $936M; and Pixar’sFinding Dory at $643M to date. 

The previous record belonged to the Universal: Jurassic World overcame the mark of $5 billion on July 17, 2015. As for Disney, the studio has achieved the target of $ 5 billion for the second time in its history (for the first time she managed it last year).

In 2016, Disney will release Pete's Dragon (in August), Doctor Strange and Moana (both in November), Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (in December).
