US officials refused the Russian claims for killing the IS preacher Abu Muhammad al-Adnani, report the ABCnews. The Pentagon spokesman, said that Russia's allegations are not credible, another official called them "a joke." " It would be funny if not for the character of the campaign the Russians have undertaken in Syria.” he said.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that the strokes in direction of the militants’ position, as a result of which  Al-Adnan was killed, were launched by the Russian Su -34 bombers. Moreover, the Russian side insists that the bombardment was carried out in the region of Maarat Haush, in the north of Aleppo. The Americans claim that al-Adnani was killed near Al-Baba district of Aleppo, as a result of targeted attacks.
