YEREVAN. – Solution to the March 1 case will be one of the priorities of the Armenian Prosecutor General's Office, prosecutor general nominee Artur Davtyan said.
The former prosecutor general used some procedural mechanisms that had to secure further efficiency of investigation which has not been suspended, he said in the parliament on Tuesday
“The March 1 case is one of the most important cases the Armenian public is concerned with, and it will be a priority for me, too,” Davtyan said and promised to inform public about the investigation.
The case on clashes between demonstrators and police on March 1, 2008 has not been solved yet. No one was held accountable for the death of 10 people killed during the clashes.
