If there were an award for outstanding achievements in distorting historical facts and international law, the Azerbaijani President would be an undisputed leader, Armenian Deputy FM Shavarsh Kocharyan said, commenting on Ilham Aliev’s statement on Azerbaijan’s territorial claims to Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.

“The fact that the state of Azerbaijan, as well as the very name of Azerbaijan, appeared on the map in 1918 does not justify the woeful ignorance of the region’s history and absurd territorial claims to Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh,” Sh. Kocharyan said.
