The delegation headed by the Defense Minister of Armenia Vigen Sargsyan has paid an official visit to Russia on Monday.

In the framework of the visit, the delegation laid flowers at the monuments to Lieutenant General Hrach Andriasyan and Colonel General Lev Shustkoy. On the same day, the Minister met with the representatives of the Armenian community.

The Minster also had a meeting with the Governor of Rostov Oblast, Vasily Golubev. The sides discussed the prospects for deepening cooperation.

Afterwards, the delegation visited the helicopter company ''Rostvertol,'' where they got familiarized with its capacities. In addition, they visited the Southern Military District headquarters.

Apart from this, meetings were held with the representatives of the command staff, during which issues related to the activity of the United Military Troops were discussed.

In the second half of the day, the delegation left for Moscow.
