YEREVAN. – Winter tourism has been recognized an important objective for 2017, in Armenia, acting chairperson of the State Committee for Tourism, Zarmine Zeytuntsyan, said at a press conference on Wednesday.

In her words, development of winter tourism will also contribute to community development in the country.

“It is aimed at drawing tourists toward the provinces of Armenia as well as extending the tourist season,” noted Zeytuntsyan.

She added that especially the development of skiing will be promoted quite actively in Armenia.
