YEREVAN. – Tel Aviv based Challenge Fund vice president Saul Reichmann thinks Armenians should use Diaspora’s potential and presence in tech world for their startups promotion in global market. He told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am during the “Empowering Ideas: Startups and Development Tech Forum” that took place in Yerevan.

In Saul Reichmann’s opinion, having a great and omnipresent Diaspora, Armenian startups have a wonderful chance, to present and promote their products to the global market.

“Armenia and Israel have many similarities. During centauries our nations used their greatest secret source – our intellectual basis, entrepreneurship talent, ability to take risks for winning our place under the sun. We are small countries with small population and interesting neighborhood. We should embrace this fact – using Diaspora’s potential for our countries benefit”, said Challenge vice president.

Reichmann thinks Government support is very important for developing innovation and entrepreneurship.

“Organized governmental support is always beneficial and blessed. What Israel’s Government is doing quite well is that it listens to the industry and enables, without interfering. This is very important to find this balance – to enable, without interfering”, he mentioned.

“Empowering Ideas: Startups and Development Tech Forum” that took place in Yerevan on December 12. The forum was organized by US based World Learning organization jointly with US embassy in Yerevan.
