YEREVAN. – No one can make a decision regarding the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) issue without the consent of the people, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan of Armenia said at his press conference on Friday.

In his words, the victory in the battle needs to be retained by way of logical talks.

“If we speak about mutual concessions, then this depends on what do we [i.e. the Armenian party to the Karabakh conflict] give up, and in exchange for what,” noted the PM. “Not only territories, but also status and many other things can be subject to mutual concession.

“I don’t think that anyone will make a [respective] decision with which our people, our citizens will disagree; this is such a huge accountability that I don’t see anyone who can make such a decision on his own.”
