YEREVAN. – Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan announced, at his press conference on Friday, that he does not want to head the election campaign headquarters of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA).
“I will not accept, even if it there is a [respective] proposal,” said the PM.
To note, whether Karapetyan is eligible to be put on the RPA proportional election list for the forthcoming parliamentary election in Armenia is also unclear because he has not resided permanently in Armenia in the last four years, which the country’s election law requires for an MP candidate.
