YEREVAN. – Over the course of ten years, 0.1 percent of the National Archives of Armenia are digitized, director Amatuni Virabyan said at a press conference on Tuesday.

“As primary, we digitize materials that enjoy demand,” he added. “For example, there no undigitized materials about the [Armenian] Genocide.”

Virabyan also noted that they have visitors from around 15 countries.

“The majority [of them] come from Italy, France, Germany, [and] Russia,” said the director of the National Archives of Armenia. “The materials about the Genocide have a greater demand. But, lately, they are interested in the Soviet era of Armenia; they compare [it] with other Soviet countries.”
