YEREVAN. – A this point, I do not see a basis for recording any breakthrough in the ongoing talks toward a pacific resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, on Monday said the abovementioned in his remarks at the operational meeting of the Armed Forces Chief of Staff.

“We [i.e. the Armenian side to the conflict] assess the situation clearly, and we don’t expect unilateral concessions from Azerbaijan,” Sargsyan noted, in particular. “[But] we demand the same, so that the leadership of Azerbaijan realizes this simple—or rather, very primitive—thing.”
