YEREVAN. – It is not necessary for all opposition political forces to unite for a regime change in Armenia.

Founder and Director of the Armenian Institute of International and Security Affairs, political analyst Styopa Safaryan, who is number three on the nationwide list of the opposition Free Democrats Party in the forthcoming parliamentary election in the country, stated the aforesaid at a press conference on Wednesday.

In his words, a political team needs to offer what the citizenry is thinking about, and what the voters want to see.

“Persuasive programs are more important than the number of MP candidates,” stressed Safaryan. “We need to understand that the upcoming elections are elections with new rules of the game. A National Assembly with a new system of the country’s governance will determine much.”

The National Assembly election is slated for April 2.
