YEREVAN. – Several banks in Armenia are already providing more affordable loans to women entrepreneurs, and the European organizations are ready to assist in this matter.
Mark Davis, head of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) office in Armenia, on Tuesday stated the abovementioned, as he introduced the women entrepreneurship support project.
He added that women-led businesses are more trustworthy, and these enterprises repay loans more diligently.
In Davis’s words, the women entrepreneurship support project is carried out in all six Eastern Partnership countries.
And, to this end, the EBRD has allocated US$44 million, which shall be used for providing affordable loans.
