Moldova has requested for an observer status in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). As the President of Moldova Igor Dodon wrote on his Facebook page, the Moldovan government submitted a relevant request to the Chairman of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the head of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev, reported.

"Please consider the possibility of granting Moldova an observer status in the Eurasian Economic Union." The Moldovan president stressed about the “increasing role” of the EEU. "The association also realizes an ambition of ensuring free movement of goods, services, capital and labor, increases competitiveness and sustainable development of member countries," said Dodon.
