Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan on Wednesday accounted to ten voters of Artashat town on the work done during six months.

Speaking at the meeting of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) representatives, Karapetyan recalled that the program of six months was announced on October 20.  ''My colleagues tried to persuade me and prove that it was too ambitions and that we would then have to explain what wasn't done and why. But everything planned has been implemented,'' Karapetyan said.

In his words, during six months the industry and agriculture grew by 11.5 and 109 percent respectively. Metallurgical industry rose by over 100 percent, while the growth of alcohol production constituted 150 percent. Besides, jewelry increased by 150 percent and the export rose by 20 percent, he added.

''It is logical if you say that the figures are good but the life quality has not improved. Our social and economic situation is indeed such that it is necessary to work towards improving life. This resembles not watering soil for a long time: you first have to water it well so that the seeds sprout,'' the PM said.

He also referred to the projects in the investment spheres, presenting certain provisions in the RPA pre-election program.
