YEREVAN. - When entering the voting booth on April 2, remember that a year ago the four-day war took place.

Chairman of Consolidation Party, Vartan Oskanian, who represents the Ohanyan–Raffi-Oskanian (ORO) bloc, said the aforementioned at the campaign rally held in Yerevan’s Liberty Square Tuesday.

In his words, a question is posed whether Armenia will remain an authoritarian and dictator state or whether it will develop following the democratic path.

“You should decide whether Armenia should be divided or we should together build the single fist, which will turn into a haven for all Armenians,” he said, adding that ORO bloc is an alternative to the current authorities.

Oskanian, who was the foreign minister of the country during the term of President Robert Kocharyan, stated that in case of victory, Armenia will appear among the 15 most democratic states. “No resources and money are needed for this, only political will. Believe me, we have that will. Armenia will turn into a just and democratic country very fast,” Oskanian said.

In his words, the country had no stem of foreign policy during the governance of the current authorities: they turned wherever the wind blew.

“During these years, we lost the significant part of our sovereignty. The world doesn’t treat us seriously: It doesn’t believe that the decisions are made in Yerevan because as a result of voting of our authorities in the UN and other places, a viewpoint has been formed that Armenia is not a sovereign state,” Oskanian said.
