YEREVAN. – Zaruhi Postanjyan, chairperson of the opposition Yerkir Tsirani (Apricot Country) Party of Armenia, plans to take the seats which her party received in the recent Yerevan Council election.

“We have powers to go to the Municipality [of Yerevan], [and] which the people, our citizens gave us, [and] therefore we will use these powers,” Postanjyan told RFE/RL Armenian Service. “Those that seized power will feel our resistance and, of course, feel attacks by us. Attack, not in the context of violent physical force, but from the viewpoint of rights, law.”
