Foreign Minister of Bahrain Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa has accused Qatar of military escalation of situation in the Persian Gulf.

“The controversies with Qatar are of a political but in no way military nature in terms of security. However, stationing of foreign military subunits and military equipment is a military escalation for which Qatar will face consequences. Certain regional forces are wrong in thinking their interference will solve the issue,” he wrote on his Twitter page.

Within the framework of a military agreement with Qatar, Turkey has directed troops and military equipment to the country.

Earlier, ten states, including seven Arabic countries, severed their ties with Qatar, accusing it of funding terrorism. Doha rejects all the accusations.
