YEREVAN. – The President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, on Thursday received the Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Motome Takisawa.

First, the President underscored such high-level visits between the two countries, and expressed the hope that Takisawa’s visit to Armenia will give new impetus to the strengthening of Armenian-Japanese state ties.

The interlocutors recorded, with satisfaction, the development of Armenia-Japan bilateral relations in recent years.  

In addition, President Sargsyan highlighted the opening of Armenia’s and Japan’s diplomatic missions in one another’s country.  

Also, Serzh Sargsyan and Motome Takisawa reflected on parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, and the avenues for making their relations grow deeper in several domains.

Separately, President Sargsyan thanked the Japanese government for its continued assistance in the development of Armenia.
