EREVAN. – At least 85% of defense loan from Russia has been spent, Armenian Finance Minister Vardan Aramyan said at a press conference on Monday.

According to him, about $30 million are left from $200 million. There are no formal proposals for new loans, but discussions are always conducted.

“But I can notice that Russia remains one of the main partners of Armenia in defense industry,” Aramyan added.

The loan from Russia was allocated to Armenia in February 2016 in order to purchase weapons.
