Police arrested a 60-year-old man from Rishon Letzion this week, after he allegedly set dozens of birds on fire, killing 80 of them, Israel National News reported

The suspect is said to have entered an apartment he rents out in Rishon Letzion, where his tenant kept over 100 parrots in cages in the property’s backyard.

Investigators say the suspect set fires inside the bird cages following a dispute with the tenant.
