Iraqi army command has informed that the country’s military has launched an attack on Rawa, not far from the Syrian border, the last remaining Iraqi town under the control of the Islamic State terrorist organization, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.
“The military units and the people’s mercenary have launched a massive operation for the liberation of the Rumana Subdistrict and Rawa town,” reads the respective statement by Commander Abdul Amir Yarallah of this operation.
