Dalai Lama has launched an application for the iPhone so that his supporters can follow his travels and practices on air, AFP reports.

The Twitter account of 82-year-old Dalai Lama was followed by 16.6 million people. In the app you can follow the official news, videos and photos from the office of the Tibetan spiritual leader.

However, the application does not appear in Apple's app store in China, meaning most Tibetans will not be able to access it. Apple has blocked iPhone applications related to Dalai Lama in China.

It is known that Dalai Lama uses a smartphone. In 2014, he said that new technologies simplified a lot of things, but warned that one should not allow phones and computers to dictate a way of life.

He said that without technology, humanity has no future, but people must be careful not to become so mechanized that they lose their human feelings.
