The National Seismological Service of Mexico has informed that more than 12,700 earthquakes—measuring magnitude 1.2 to 8.2—have hit the country, from September to November, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.
The largest number of these tremors occurred in September, with 5,700. The two powerful quakes hit Mexico on September 7 and 19, and they claimed hundreds of lives.
Around 3,800 seismic activities were in October, and the number quakes that struck Mexico in November exceeded 3,200.
