The situation over Turkish military operation in Syria’s Afrin will be debated during the winter session of the Parliamentary Assembly Council of Europe.
A current affairs debate on the Turkish military intervention in Syria will be held on Wednesday.
Assembly also decided to hold an urgent debate on the Israeli–Palestinian peace process and the role of the Council of Europe on Thursday morning.
Earlier, the General Staff of Turkey announced the beginning of the operation Olive Branch against the Kurds in Afrin. Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim announced the launch of a ground operation in Afrin. Damascus strongly condemned Turkey's actions.
