President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Saturday received Giorgi Gakharia, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia.

First, the President congratulated Gakharia on his appointment as the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia.

Also, Sargsyan underscored the frequent mutual visits, in terms of the strengthening of bilateral relations, and expressed the hope that Gakharia’s current visit to Armenia will give a new impetus to the deepening of cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Armenia and Georgia.

The interlocutors highlighted the respective collaboration as well as the ensuring of security and stability in both countries, also from the viewpoint of recording achievements in several domains.

The Georgian vice PM and internal affairs minister, for his part, briefed the Armenian President on the agreements that were reached at his meeting with the Police Chief of Armenia, and in connection with making their cooperation grow deeper.

In addition, Gakharia expressed a conviction that it will be easier to jointly address the challenges.
