Russian defense ministry said Israeli warplanes attacked the Syrian government T-4 airbase in the Homs province.
According to the ministry, without entering Syria's airspace two Israeli F15 fighters hit T-4 airfield from the Lebanese territory.
Three missiles reached the western part of the airfields, another five were shot down by Syrina air defense forces.
Russian military advisers among were not injured, the statement said.
