Seven people were killed as a group of armed men attacked the French drilling company Foraco in the southeast of Nigeria, Reuters reported

Six company employees and one civil service representative have been killed as a result of an incident.

According to security source, the assailants were believed to belong to Nigerian jihadist group Boko Haram, which is active in the Diffa region near the border with Nigeria.

Nobody has claimed the responsibility for the attack yet.
