YEREVAN. – Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sees no necessity in changing the system of government and return to the presidential system.

Certain discussions are underway in the framework presented during the election program, he said, adding that the matter is about Diaspora’s participation in the state management.

“We have very strict restrictions now. We believe they are inappropriate, and the matter is under discussion,” Pashinyan said during a press conference on Tuesday.

As for the return to the presidential system of government, PM said there is no need in it, as the parliamentary system is functioning for a year, and we have to understand how it is working.

“Constitution is a living body, and it is changing. My personal opinion is that there is no need to change the system of government. However, we might have indisputable arguments for changes in the future. Now we have to focus on economic revolution, not constitutional changes,” he said.
