After the April war Gevorg who was eleven then became more silent and withdrawn. On April 2, 2016 his elder brother Vagharshak died in the school yard in front of his eyes. Gevorg himself and his friend were wounded.

Gevorg prefers not to speak about the April 2 events. He even insisted on moving from Zorakan district where his elder brother was killed. Everything reminded him of that awful day and his brother there. He was chatting with his friend Vardan, while Vagharshak was standing at some distance. The first blast rocked, Gevorg and Vardan were injured in their legs, while Vagharshak sustained a chest wound. Everything happened befre the eyes of their mother - Gayane.

“Children were approaching the school. Everything happened before my eyes. I was walking with my friends several steps behind. We went to school as usual, no one knew what was happening,” Gayane says.

Later on they could not find a car to transport children to hospital. Vardan’s 15-year-old brother took Gevorg and Vardan to hospital, while Vagharshak was taken by an unknown officer.

Vagharshak was a goal-oriented boy, he studied well.

“He said: ‘when l grow up, I will become a traveler'. He loved animals, he loved friends, he loved to communicate, to know something new. He dreamed of becoming a doctor and visiting Alaska, raising horses,” says Gayane.
