In May 2018 in Stepanakert, Pashinyan declared that he was going to do everything possible to return Artsakh to the negotiating table, but it was just a pledge. This is what Spokesperson of the Republican Party of Armenia Eduard Sharmazanov said during today’s press conference, touching upon the government’s activities in the process of negotiations over the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement.

Sharmazanov recalled that Artsakh wasn’t represented as a party to the negotiations during the Pashinyan-Aliyev meeting in Vienna. “We were following the meeting in Vienna online. We saw Pashinyan and Aliyev enter and were waiting for Bako Sahakyan to enter, but we didn’t. Why didn’t Pashinyan do everything he could to return Artsakh to the negotiating table? It’s because everything that the new government is doing is fake.”
