On August 8, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made a post on his Facebook page about the tourists arriving in Armenia, and noted that their number has grown impressively and that, overall, the country has recorded a 12.8% increase in tourism in the first half of the year.

The “fact investigation platform” has compared Pashinyan’s numbers with those issued by the Statistical Committee of Armenia, but these numbers do not coincide. The results are as follows:

Germany 59.5% (Pashinyan) 48.7% (Statistical Committee), China 53․5% (Pashinyan) 58․2% (Statistical Committee), The Netherlands 34.9% (Pashinyan) 32.6% (Statistical Committee), Switzerland 30% (Pashinyan) 34.5% (Statistical Committee), UAE 29.7% (Pashinyan) 31.8% (Statistical Committee), Greece 29% (Pashinyan) -1․7% (Statistical Committee), Italy 24.4% (Pashinyan) 26.3% (Statistical Committee), United Kingdom 22.9% Pashinyan) 24.2% (Statistical Committee), Japan 22.2% (Pashinyan) 22.4% (Statistical Committee), Russia 19% (Pashinyan) 20.7% (Statistical Committee), Sweden 19.0% (Pashinyan) 18.7% (Statistical Committee), USA 15 % (Pashinyan) 16.3% (Statistical Committee), and France 13% (Pashinyan) 17.6% (Statistical Committee).
